CASFFA Community Health Micro-Grant Recipients

The CASFFA is excited to announce the outstanding small businesses that received the CASFFA Community Health Micro-Grant. Each grantee has demonstrated they have established a health, wellness, or fitness program that provides:

1) a physical, mental, or emotional benefit to their community & 

2) affordable/reduced rate and/or free health, fitness & wellness services to underserved groups and/or underserved in our community.

Grant recipients will be using the grant funds to provide even more clients with reduced rate and/or FREE health, fitness & wellness classes.

About the 2022 Grant Recipients

  • Lady Bits Physical Therapy

    Lady Bits provides pelvic health services for women, specializing in supporting women during pregnancy to minimize pelvic/low back pain, round ligament pain, and preparing their body and perineum for birth. Lady Bits’ postpartum specializes in healing DRA (abdominal muscle separation), restoring core strength, relieving pain and from C-section scars, resolving prolapse symptoms, painful intercourse and stopping urinary or fecal incontinence.

    Lady Bits is using the CASFFA grant to sponsor clients who have a financial barrier to access care that can support them through pregnancy and in their postpartum care.

  • Yoga Moves Us

    Yoga Moves Us is a nonprofit organization that offers free community yoga in the Greater Sacramento Area. Its mission is to make yoga available to everyone by providing free yoga classes, which allows every individual an opportunity to practice regardless of their ability to pay. In 2022, Yoga Moves Us will hold free yoga classes in 11 locations throughout Sacramento, Placer and Yolo counties.

    Yoga Moves Us is using CASFFA grant funds for audio equipment, supplies, park permits and insurance to host over 250 free classes at 11 locations in 2022.

  • Nature Wellness Center

    Nurture Wellness Center is the sole acupuncture health clinic in South Sacramento. They provide alternative and low-cost medicine to the Sacramento community. Their services include: acupuncture, acupressure, herbal medicine, auricular acupuncture, massage, reflexology, pain management, facial rejuvenation, stress relief, stroke rehabilitation etc…

    Nurture Wellness Center is using the grant to provide their patients with discounted services, including seniors, disabled, Medi-caid users, and veterans that assist/relieve patients with various chronic illnesses.
